Want To Pet A Koala?

And have a truly amazing Australian experience? You can at Urimbirra Wildife Park, All you need to do is get yourself to Victor Harbor which is an hour south of Adelaide South Australia!

As if Victor Harbor, Pt Elliot and surrounding areas didn't have enough going for it with its pristine wild beaches, calm family bays and stunning views over the Great Southern Ocean, there is also this great wildlife park  which gives you the chance to see more than 70 species of Australian fauna in their natural surroundings including Fresh and Saltwater Crocodiles, venomous snakes and large pythons.

The paths through Urimbirra wildlife park allow you to see the animals at close range and a walk through the 16-hectare site. (Urimbirra is an Aboriginal word meaning 'to preserve' or 'to take care of).

You can pack a picnic and eat amongst free roaming friendly Kangaroos and wallabies (and the occasional baby Emu!).
Bring your camera - its a  photographers delight!

Here is the real cool part, at 11am, 2pm & 4pm you can get up close to a few koalas and pet them them in their enclosure and of course get a photo with one! They don't charge for this experience, its all in the $12  $6 admission fees!

I visited Urimbirra last week and took some pics, I love seeing the happy faces of children and adults when they get to pet a koala for the first time.
A great place to take international visitors!
